The wonder of things from times gone by and much more: Piazzola sul Brenta, the market
A few short kilometers from our Spa Hotel, there is an unmissable event for tourists, local enthusiasts and anybody curious who wants to take a stroll around a place that is steeped in history and beauty: the Piazzola sul Brenta market is quite possibly one of the most spectacular Antiques Markets in Europe.
On the last Sunday of every month, in the square of the villa and all around the Jutificio Camerini (Camerini Jute Factory), you will find 800 expositors, with every type of material and object, from one-off collectors items to vintage to modern to antique and much more.
The place in itself is well worth visiting, even just for a stroll, looking around and getting the expositors tell you all about their wares. Piazzola sul Brenta is about 28 km from Relilax, less than a half hour to experience a unique sight in this field.
You will come across things you had forgotten existed, that will bring back distant memories… that old vinyl player from when you were a kid, grandma’s dresser, things that belonged to nobles and important paintings, as well as simple little works of art from everyday life that have been restored and ennobled.
There are coffee bars and restaurants all around the square where you can take a break, have a coffee, and get back to visiting this “open-air show”.
